The topic for NGO Mondo’s school network in 2021/2022 is climate change. Climate change is the biggest challenge of our century. It impacts all of us in one way or the other, no matter which side of the globe we live. To understand the different ways climate change affects people across the world, students in the school network write down and record stories from their communities. If the students wish, they can also choose to take actions against climate change, such as planting trees, arranging community discussions, contacting their leaders, etc. Afterwards, the stories collected and the actions taken will be recorded on the network’s blog for others to read and get inspired by.
By sharing these stories, we encourage empathy, innovation and cooperation – three important skills needed to combat climate change.
